About Us
Queen Anne Farm in Mitchellville, Maryland has been growing fresh vegetables for more than 30 years.
Located midway between Washington D.C. and Annapolis, with Bowie to the north and Upper Marlboro to the south, the farm is a sliver of a traditional family farm, nestled in the hustle and bustle of the DMV. Queen Anne Farm features a seasonal roadside farm stand during produce seasons, and as Summer fades, the Fall harvest kicks in with a pick your own pumpkin patch and a bounty of beautiful autumn vegetables.
Queen Anne Farm specializes in heirloom varieties—tomatoes, peppers, and pumpkins to name a few—and we pride ourselves in using no pesticides or herbicides. Thanks to the Brady Family’s hands-on approach to running their farm, our customers only get the freshest and best produce straight from the field daily.
Our farm market offers a great variety of fresh produce:
Tomatoes & cherry tomatoes, featuring heirloom varieties | Delicious, juicy sweet corn always freshly picked | Okra | Squash | Eggplant | Onions | Green Beans | Kale | Collard Greens | Lettuce | Italian Roma Beans | Red, White & Sweet potatoes, freshly dug | Sweet & Hot peppers | Watermelon | Peaches | Cantaloupe | Apples…the list goes on!
About the Owners:
Queen Anne Farm is family owned by Carl and Carole Brady and has been selling farm fresh fruits and vegetables directly to the public since 1983. The market is well known for its many varieties of pumpkins, heirloom pumpkins, sweet potatoes, white sweet potatoes, sweet corn and fresh vegetables and a terrific variety of fall squashes.
Carl proudly comes from a family of farmers, and he began when he was a teenager helping farm the land. As an adult, he has grown pumpkins for more than 40 years. Prior to opening his own farm market, Carl specialized in growing sweet corn and pumpkins for wholesale sales.
Carole manages the farm sales, which includes all the vegetables, plus jams and jellies, seasonal baked pies, donuts, pumpkin roll, Halloween accessories, beautiful potted mums, fresh pressed pasteurized apple cider, apples, and much, much more. They all pitch in during the fall season, offering a traditional pumpkin patch where customers are invited to pick their own straight from the field.
